Early Take: The WB

The WB overcame two major obstacles this season: finding a workable companion for "7th Heaven" and gaining a presence on Sunday nights. Both "Everwood" and moving "Charmed" to Sundays accomplished that. Like all things though it came at a cost: Thursday night is now a mess for the Frog. More glaring however is that they'll have to start over from scratch on Wednesdays with "Dawson's Creek" ending its reign as anchor of the night. The good news is "7th Heaven," "Gilmore Girls," "Reba" and "Smallville" are as strong as ever and should provide a good launching pad for whatever the WB goes with next season.

Already in: "Charmed," "Everwood," "Gilmore Girls," "High School Reunion," "Reba," "7th Heaven," "Smallville," "The Surreal Life"

Locks to return: Nothing beyond what's already in for next season.

Likely to return, but you never know: "The Jamie Kennedy Experiment"

Even odds: "Angel," "Greetings from Tucson," "Grounded for Life," "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," "What I Like About You"

Too early to tell: "The Black Sash," "On the Spot"

Don't count on it: "Do Over," "Family Affair"

Long gone: "Birds of Prey," "Dawson's Creek," "Off Centre"
