It's splitsville again for Shannen Doherty and Spelling Television.

The star of the studio's drama for the WB "Charmed" has left the show after three seasons.

"We have had a long and prosperous relationship with Shannen and we didn't want to hold her back from what she wanted to do," Spelling TV said in a statement Friday. "We wish her all the best and much continued success." Doherty's reps would not comment on the matter.

In 1994, Doherty was fired from Spelling's long-running series for Fox "Beverly Hills, 90210" after reports of clashes on the set coupled with highly publicized off-screen exploits.

Doherty went back into business with Spelling in 1998 when she was cast in "Charmed," which is heading into its fourth season next fall. Doherty, in fact, just finished directing the series' third season finale.

Sources said there had recently been some tension on the "Charmed" set involving Doherty, but the details surrounding her departure were murky on Friday.

Earlier this month, Doherty pleaded no contest to charges of drunken driving stemming from an arrest last December.
